Competition Brief & Overview
The Buildner Unbuilt Award 2027 celebrates unrealized architectural designs and visionary concepts. Participants are invited to submit any unbuilt architectural project—whether conceptual, theoretical, in progress, or never realized—including architecture, interior design, furniture design, and landscape projects. Submissions are categorized by project size: Small Wonders (up to 100 sqm), Medium Marvels (101-999 sqm), and Large Visions (over 1,000 sqm). Each entry must be presented on a single A2 landscape panel (max 10 MB) in English, with anonymous presentation (no names or logos). The competition is open to everyone regardless of location or qualifications, with separate prizes for professionals and students. Winners receive cash prizes, the prestigious Continuum Trophy designed by Germans Ermičs, publication in the annual Unbuilt Book, and features on ArchDaily and Buildner's global media channels. Multiple projects can be submitted across different categories. The competition aims to showcase bold ideas and imaginative visions that capture the essence of innovation and exploration in architecture.
